Maryland, Virginia, DC for Obama tomorrow.

We are way ahead in the Polls. But do not take anything for granted.

1. GOTV. Mobilize EVERYBODY to go out and VOTE!!!

2. BE VERY VIGILANT. GO out there with your phones, etc and document every IRREGULARITY. Make sure you get press and also send to HQ and DNC.

3. The truth is I bet we won NH, NV. See the mess in NM. An Official supporting the other candidate went home with 3 Ballot boxes with results not declared. Now recount see ongoing. We MUST guide against this especially in the BIG states OH, TX, PA.

4. Remember in CA we were way ahead in the Polls in the last day but what happened. It was no Bradley effect. I bet you the votes were tempered with like in NH. No women vote did it. What did it is rigging period.

Any news from recount in NH? It is a shame that in 2008 we in America can not hold honest CLEAN Elections. People want to win at all cost.

So My dear Hope mongers, let’s ALL GOTV tomorrow and also open our eyes and resist any and all intimidation, document all irregularity and make sure we MAKE EVERY VOTE COUNT.

Fired up! Ready to Go!

YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN!! YES WE CAN!!!

PICTURE:
11,000 people packed into the Mariner Arena in West Baltimore today to stand for change with Barack…

Will you make a contribution and help us to throw more rallies like this across the country? This campaign is fueled by you. Help build the movement.

DONATE ON 2/12!!! | Report to Admin Reply
By CJC Today at 5:05 am EST
Today is the 2/12 “money bomb”, organized by members of The Daily Kos website.

Please donate $5.01 to Senator Obama’s campaign today. And ask any fellow supporters to do the same. Let’s give him the support he needs in these crucial February primaries!

1. Small donations are powering Obama’s campaign

2. Lincoln is on the $5 bill and the penny

3. .01 is also for us online progressives making a statement to the campaign that we are here and we’ve got money. That we aren’t the huge bundlers for campaigns. We sacrifice parts of paychecks that mean more proportionally to those of us with smaller incomes. We buy into Barack Obama because we do dream of a more hopeful future instead of cynicsm. I would much rather be called a Hopemonger than a Warmonger. So if you believe in the hope that small donors are powering the Obama campaign, please join me in showing that when Americans united with Hope can wield large influence with small donations!

* Regular blog and news
* User comments
* Personal Blogs (!)
* Integration with Facebook, Digg, Myspace and countless other social websites
* Groups
* Personal message box
* Dashboard
* Phone volunteering dashboard

and hundreds of other features that other campaigns can only dream of.

We have some serious geeks running this site flawlessly and they should get a big round of applause for their amazing work.

The site works so well and error free that it completely fades into the background but when you step back and compare others it becomes eviden how awesome this one is!

I check this site multiple times a day. Why? Because the webmasters keep the news fresh.
I check HRC’s site at least once a day too.
There is rarely any changes to the site.
Rarely any new news.
It is really quite extraordinary that she hasn’t figured this out and done something about it.
I surmise that it has to do with the people she has surrounded herself with.
Her team has not internalized the power of the web.
Good for us.

Heads up from Texas | Report to Admin Reply
By Dan from Texas Yesterday at 7:26 pm EST
The results of the 31 state senate district primaries will probably result in a pretty even delegate split for the 128 delegates. Each district will have a few delegates, whenever it is 2, 4, 6 or 8 delegates in a district they will surely split evenly. Therefore, the districts with odd numbers of delegates are more critical.

Therefore, the popular vote likely to be reported by the MSM will not necessarily reflect the delegate assignments.

2nd CRITICAL point.

The caucus can easily be lopsided for whoever has the best ground organization from the bottom up. If a caucus favors Obama, Obama should win the most delegates in Texas overall.

I think Clinton is just wishful thinking. The delegate advantage will be determined by the caucus (67 delegates) which could split like the other caucuses we’ve seen if Obama is good on the groundgame. In the best case scenario in the primary she will not gain may votes unless it is a total blowout.

Obama should have the advantage in Texas. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t understand the way the Texas primaries work.

I’m sitting here waiting for our Obama meeting to start in Brazos County, Texas.

Hope we’ll have 10 volunteers show up. We have about 180,000 people in this county. So probably 80,000 registered voters. There are 12,000 registered voters age 18-25 listed by the democratic party in our county. We will focus our phonebanking on them this week (first phonebanking effort in our county) to try to identify supporters, and most of all volunteers in all ~100 precincts. Each precinct will hold a caucus to send delegates to the county convention. They vote there to send delegates to state convention. Then vote there to send the 67 delegates to national convention. That happens June 6-8. March 29 is the county level vote. March 29 is when we should be able to determine how many delegates will go to Obama or Clinton.
Re: Heads up from Texas | Report to Admin Reply

In theory, between Texas A&M students and our local group lists we have over 100 people who in theory would like to volunteer.

This is our first organization meeting since I began to notice what I think is the beginning of a rapid rise in people starting new accounts on MyBO from around the area. Hopefully, we are about to see explosive growth…

You seem well connected. I’ve been watching MSNBC and they are showing Michigan and Florida in Hillary’s column as states won! As far as I know those states didn’t count, why are the news shows, “Hardball” for instance showing them as wins for Hillary? If it is truly erroneous it shouldn’t be assumed that she’s won them. Do you know anything about New Mexico?

We have dozens offices nationwide, so if i follow you every time that a member of this campaign make a mistake, Senator Obama should denounce it publicly, since we have thousand of people in this movement, may be if he listens to you, he should spent his time like a freak behind every precinct captain, staff member. May be he should even stop campaigning just to do that. This is ridiculous…
What we can do is just call the HQ or our Headquarters in Texas to let them know about it. It will be fixed.

While ago, I looked out my window, and lo and behold – I saw two homes with a single candle in the window!!! This is easy, free, hope-inspiring and shows in a quiet but powerful way Obama supporters are here – I am in Virginia, but I challenge EVERYONE to do this – I got a candle from Christmas and put it in my front window. C’mon – this is a no-brainer!!! This is not my idea, but the brain-child of Barbara Maguire-Sloss of DC. I hope that those in DC, Maryland and Virginia are joining us in a tangible way of expressing HOPE!!!

I like the idea of the candle !! How can we spread the idea and make it last?

Thank you Maine !!

I think we just need to keep e-mailing and encouraging people – if everyone wrote all of their contacts in their mailboxes, this could go really far. I plan to keep my candle until this is settled. I challenge all other Obama supporters to do the same –

When are YOU Going to STOP!!!! | Report to Admin Reply

When are some people on these blogs going to STOP telling people what they can or cannot write here or telling them what they should be doing???

Get over it…Those that are doing it is just annoying those of us who are also calling, donating, etc by YOUR acting as moderatoers on this board.

If I want my comments or actions moderated I’ll go to the HRC board as they do it quite well. YOU complain about the HRC board being sterile then YOU want us to do the same here.

Write what you want, do what you feel you need to do but please STOP telling others what they can say or what you feel they should be doing.

This seems to be becoming a regular feature on every new blog and I for one am getting sick and tired of it.

I am a Barack supporter who has given time, effort, money and yes even my vote on Super Tuesday so please dont tell me what I can say or what I should be doing.

Thank you!

Sorry but I had to get this off my chest because I am sick of it!!

Yes, WE Will!!

I hear ya Larry, I especially understand since Hillary has told you that your vote didn’t mean much in the overall picture.

I think we all get so wrapped up in what our thoughts are and are passionate about it that it spills over into a type of bossiness that is not really intended.

I too have donated more money than I can afford and an organizing here in NC already.

I like the joking around of trying to be first and things like that because it relieves tension. I think we all know perfectly well what is at stake here and it is so important. I can’t think of another time in my life when I feel that “we the people” will actually be “the government” or as close as we can. In the famous words by Ben Franklin, “you have a republic, if you can keep it.” And so far it has been slipping away.

Nomad don’t even get me started on her comments today about caucus voters and AA voters in states she didn’t win really doesn’t matter…thouhg NV, MU & FL do.

My blood is still boiling over that.

I for one will never ever ever vote for her for any job requiring a vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, WE Will!!

Please accept my apologies if my post offended you. I really thought this was a non-offensive positive way that everyone could participate in – no harm, I hope!

Cool – By the Way, I like that you end with “Yes, we will”. I think maybe this could be considered as the new motto of the campaign in light of the surge of support – something to think about for those in the know –

I think we should all surprise Barack with this one at the next rally.

EVERYONE AT THE NEXT OBAMA RALLY, start chanting:

YES WE WILL!

It’ll make him laugh!

Thank you very much!

Quite frankly I am really sick of it and I am also a supporter who has given time, effort, calls and money.

I’m not going to put up with some person I don’t even know telling me what I can write or not write, espcially when my posts are done respectfully!

debate on CNN | Report to Admin Reply

Hey everyone did you hear that Barack agreed to debate on CNN on Feb 21. I wrote a letter to headuarters and telephoned them asking him not to do it. Hillary played a game and got out of scheduled debate with MSNBC. This is a scam by Hillary

yup, and all because David Shuster! MSNBC also again ran the HC hour long biography to pacify her. I know so many people were offended by the comment, however as a 49 year old woman that just left the High School classroom as a teacher I even started using the phrase because it has a different meaning than it once did. It really is a generational thing and Shuster got caught up in it.

Hey VC,

I was annoyed with the debates too at first, but now I am confident that Obama will do great in the them and totally dominate Hillary so he should do them (not every week of course). If he can pull it off and hone in on the issues, then she’s really toast because that’s all she’s got right now so let’s take it away from her! Yes He Can!

I want her refusal to give her income tax return discussed in that debate. To say it will be submitted after her nomination is NOT acceptable!

By Carol from Brooklyn, NY Yesterday at 7:42 pm EST
Does anyone else get offended when they refer to Obama supporters as a cult.

I have a graduate degree and have been voting for years and every vote that I cast it was merely chosing the better of the two candidates. There was never a candidate that I voted for that I said YES I voted for this candidate because I shared a lot of his beliefs. Even Bill Clinton whom I voted for twice was too centrist and moderate. But he was the better of the alternative. For the first time there is a candidate that I can say I share a lot of his beliefs. One of the things that impress me is that he believes in his convictions. Its who he is its a part of him. Often time Politicians take on the beliefs of their constituents. Let me give an example Hillary saying after NH I finally found my voice. Thats NOT an impressive line. You are now finding your voice after all this time.

Its hard to know the real person since they feel like they have to hide who they are. Obama said at one of his stump speeches I’m a strong progressive. What serious politician admits that? He also said he is not good at managing paperwork. Again who admits that. If you are going on a job interivew and they ask you what is your weakness would you say something like that? I’ll be honest I wouldnt and I consider myself pretty honest for the most part.

I get so annoyed when they say there is no difference between Hillary and Obama. YES there is there governing styles are vastly different. He believes in openness in governing. And its not just talk. You can see it in his campaign and when says he brings people together you can see it in his campaign. I get so annoyed that they think that Obama’s supporters are just mindless people with cult personality that follow him and have no clue what about him they like.

They are playing on fear. I hate to sound like I’m parroting the campaign.

But, it just seems everything about politics in the US has been based on fear. This is just another tactic by people that are so small and such failures as human beings that they have to bring others down to their level.

That is one of the chief reasons I’m supporting Obama. He isn’t about exploiting fear and division.

Either Obama supporters are too well educated or they are so stupid they joined a cult. Or only blacks or only yuppies or only activists support Obama.

They are running out of spin. The truth is Obama’s support is incredibly broad based. That is a statement of fact.
