*BLACK HISTORY FACT* Jesse Washington a teenage African American farmhand was lynched on this date in 1916 in what became known as The Waco Horror. Washington was accused of raping and murdering his employer’s wife after she was found dead. Law enforcement interrogated Jesse Washington, eventually obtaining a confession. Washington was tried for murder in Waco, Texas, in a courtroom filled with furious locals. He entered a guilty plea and was quickly sentenced to receive capital punishment. After his sentence was pronounced, he was dragged out of the court by observers and lynched in front of city hall. Over 10,000 spectators, including city officials and police, gathered to watch the attack. Members of the mob castrated Washington, cut off his fingers, and hung him over a bonfire. He was repeatedly lowered and raised over the fire to delay his death. After the fire was
extinguished, Jesse Washington’s charred torso was dragged through the town and parts of his body were sold as souvenirs. A professional photographer took pictures as the event unfolded, providing rare photographs of a lynching in progress. The pictures were printed and sold as postcards in Waco, Texas. Although the lynching was supported by many Waco residents, it was condemned by newspapers around the United States. #JoeMadison #SiriusXM #UrbanView #Lynching

In SC a young 14 year old Black Boy in 1910 was made to say he raped and killed two White Girls. He was the youngest to be executed throughout the United States. He had no idea, why he was given a good meal, before he was executed.. Later, an old White Hobo admitted to the raping and killing of the young White Girls. I remember my mother telling me that, in the early 50’s a young Black Girl would go to the home of the White Family her mother worked for, with her mother to help her with the kids. Her mother was sick one day and sent her to baby sit the two kids. The White wife was not home and the husband raped and killed the eight year old girl. When the body was found, it was put on a young Black Man, and the husband claimed he saw the young Black Man with the girl. Before that OLD M—–F—–died he admitted raping and killing the eight year old Black Girl. He actually killed two young Blacks. He killed the girl and the state killed the young Black Man based on the testimony of the White Husband and Father in Huntsville, TX. . Also, a young White Boy told my grandmother’s cousin’s husband that he needed to use the horse that belonged to the Bibbs’ neighbor. He told Mr. Bibbs to tell his neighbor that he used his horse and would be back in a few days.
The neighbor accused Mr. Bibbs, his wife and three children of taking the horse. By late afternoon, the Whites had hung the father, mother, and three young children of 6,9,and 12. When the young White Boy returned, he was shocked. Not one was held account-able. This also happened in Huntsville, TX. My oldest brother, said when he was five, he went with my dad to Conroe, TX to get some tools. When they got there, 1,000-s of Whites were on the square, where a Black Man was jumping from the fire that was burning him. He screamed so loud and hard, my brother said this never left his soul. This was in 1933, the same year that all Blacks were ran out of the town of Humble, TX. My great uncle had oil on his property, so the Whites ran him and others off and took the land that the oil was on. Back then it was Humble Oil and Exxon Oil owns the oil and gas now. The young man in Waco, was forced to say he raped the wife and murdered her. Our young men and women are still being killed for no reason, other than being Black. This is why I do not let them get away with nothing regarding me and my family and others. Chaney a lying no good for nothing lied to increase his money and others, putting our young men and women in the Iraq War. Every White Republican who wants a war and have children or grand-children old enough to become a soldier, should be made to fight in the next war. As Fannie Lou Hammer said.” I am sick and tired of being sick tired of the way our people are treated.” I am tired too!!!!!!
