“On Wisconsin,” as the state song goes, and for Tuesday’s presidential primary, Democratic favorite Barack Obama’s campaign is trying to tamp down high expectations for the Illinois senator, and raise them for rival Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York.

The intent is to get more credit in the realm of perceptions should Sen. Obama win, as expected — even if the outcome is close — or to soften the blow should Sen. Clinton pull off the upset she so badly needs after eight straight losses.

Besides Wisconsin, Sen. Obama’s childhood home of Hawaii, where he is also favored, holds caucuses Tuesday.

“We expect Wisconsin to be a very, very competitive contest,” Obama campaign manager David Plouffe said Monday in a media conference call. He noted it is the sort of state the Clinton campaign claims to prefer — more populous, with more blue-collar voters and proportionally fewer African-Americans, and holding a primary election rather than the caucuses where Sen. Obama typically has out-organized Sen. Clinton.

As Mr. Plouffe also noted, Sen. Clinton abruptly scheduled campaign stops — she had several on Monday, after bad weather caused postponements Sunday — and increased her advertising buys.

The senator from neighboring Illinois remains favored, given voters’ familiarity with him and the state’s historic penchant for progressivism and change, which he has sought to embody. The campaign’s internal projections last week had him winning 53% to 46%, and in Hawaii 52% to 47%.

Days ago, the Clinton campaign seemed poised to cede Wisconsin, as it has some smaller states, to focus instead on March 4 showdowns in Ohio and Texas. But strategists decided she should compete, to hold down Sen. Obama’s margin of victory and his delegate haul, or even to beat him.

In Wisconsin, “we’re doing every thing we can as well as we can,” said Howard Wolfson, Clinton’s communication director, in a conference call with reporters. “I do not subscribe to the momentum theory of American politics that some have offered lately,” he said, noting that voters choose candidates based on who they think would be a good president and are not “stampeded in one way or another.”

“We feel very good about Ohio and Texas,” he added.

The old way is to divide people based on race, religion, gender, ethnicity, and other categorizations, as the author of the previous posts has attempted. The old times are over. The new are not fooled by the old tricksters. We will not be divided by those devious ways. Enough is enough. We have sufferred enough due to the devious deeds of the ‘divide and conquer’ politicians. Out with the old. In with the new. It is amazing how much a person can take from a name. Because his middle name is Hussein you wouldn’t vote for him because he reminds you of who Saddam. Mind you Saddam was 14 when Barack was born so to even imply that name Hussein is of some type of importance as a reason not to vote for someone is IGNORANT! This is coming not just from a supporter but an informed individual. By the way Hussein means Handsome One (or Good one or Small One)if there is anything to take from the name it is the implication of there meanings. Also Please explain Senator Clinton’s significant accomplishments while she was apart of the Senate or as First Lady. I would wager to say they are on par for the lack of accomplishment you say that Senator Obama has.

Although I think negative advertisements are as much a misunderstanding of statistics by campaign staff as relying on polls, I *do* take issue with those who think it’s wrong for a candidate to be manipulative.

There’s a well-known, half-a-millenium old book, that explains in fine detail how a ruler should behave to protect his people to the max: “Il Principe”, by Niccolo Machiavelli.

This book is often misunderstood to endorse manipulation for the ruler’s own good, but that isn’t Machiavelli’s goal.

In this sense one needs to understand Clinton’s remark about MLK needing LBJ: To enact MLK’s ideals into law, he needed the manipulative ruler LBJ. King was smart enough to know this to be the case – and he worked on it.

The smear campaign has gone both ways. Clinton calls out Obama, Obama calls out Clinton. It is politics. Whoever the nominee is will get it 100 times worse from the Republicans. Clinton is a democrat first and logical informed people will tell you that she wouldn’t do anything to hurt the party. Despite what some Obama backers say.

I’m an Edwards supporter (was) and have yet to decide who to vote for. The recent talk of Obama copying speeches is a bit troublesome as is the fact that he uses a teleprompter while Clinton doesn’t. On the other hand, Clinton is more of the same, but I’ve yet to see that Obama is really that much different.

I AM VOTING FOR BARACK OBAMA FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS (ALTHOUGH I AM NOT UNDER 30)

1)He opposed the unnecessary war in Iraq from the beginning. A war that’s cost us 4,000 American Lives, 500 billion dollars and has killed between 81,000 and 700,000 Iraqui civilians. As you probably know Sen. Clinton voted for this war.

2) The Obama campaign has not accepted money from Washington lobbyists. The Clinton campaign has accepted even more than McCain.

3) Obama has the best chance of beating McCain: He’s betting my 6 to 10 points in all the polls whereas, Cinton is trailing McCain in all the polls. Conservative republicans who are not motivated because McCain moderate will become motivated if Clinton becomes the nominee. Lets face it, nothing unites Republicans like a Clinton.

4) Obama won’t financially penalize people who don’t support his healthcare plan.

5) I believe Obama is the most honest. He has not negatively attacked Clinton the way she is attacking him.

6) Obama is more vetted at he has released his tax-returns while Clinton refuses.

7)He has run a much better campaign making him a stronger evidence that he is the one who can change this country for the best!

Look at Barack Obama’s ideas, he is more than a decent orator. The test will come when he has to deliver on his vision. Question #1: Will he have the support to sustain his influential zeal when in office? Question #2: Will he have the political, social and economic structure to run his machine towards his goals?

Did you hear about the economic historian who spent decades analyzing Russia’s 5-year plans? He fianlly published his work in 1995 and concluded that the Soviet system would most likely fail.

People who call for exact plans and programs are like that writer. They carefully compare talking points. They debate this versus that aspect of candidates’ proposals.

But, reality is like a battle: the plan is out the window when the first shot is fired.

The only plan that will not happen is the one now proposed by a candidate. All will be products of compromise and ingredients of the moment.

The only person who has stuck to a detailed plan all the way and, consequently, failed big time, Hillary.

Sadly, McCain is sacrificing his flexibility, too, to capture the die-hard 30% who still worship Bush.

Obama has the smarts and charm to make things work. Call it finesse.

We need some now.

I appreciate the comments from Richard. They reflect many of the reasons I support Sen. Obama. I deeply troubled by the racist statements . . . . However disturbing, they reflect the fact that there’s much more work to be done in America to rid ourselves of ignorance and intolerance.

These types of feature articles are meant to insight colorful comments. They’re nothing more than revenue-generating vehicles for WSJ.com . . . . shame on them for proffering yellow journalism and shame on us for consuming such yellow journalism.

The stakes of this race are the highest they’ve been. A Hillary/Bill Clinton nomination means the Republicans and conservative Democrats will make certain McCain wins the White House. We’ll see more ultra-conservative Judges being appointed to the federal bench . . . including the U.S. Supreme Court and we’ll have another four years of subjecting out young men and women to a war that should have never been started. More death, more grief-striken famlies, more rising gasoline price and, oh yes, more spin about how we Americans are safer than we were before McCain took office.

Sen. Obama is not perfect; I’m certain he’ll make his share of mistakes. Downplaying the rhetoric (e.g., Gerald F. Seib’s peice), Sen. Obama has communicated, and continues to convey both substance and style. The substantive information is readily available for anyone’s consumption. If you believe the pollsters, Sen. Obama is drawing on folks who are both well educated and maintain high income levels. Those folks are stupid. There’s a reason they’re gravitating towards Sen. Obama . . . He’s better qualified, he’s better organized, he’s smart and he’s sincere. His message is now beginning to resonate with Americans who traditionally supported Hillary/Bill Clinton.

What’s truly inspiring is that for the first time we’ve a candidate who, in plan words, indicates he’s more focused on fixing this country than worrying about how he’s going to stay in office for a full 8 years. Essentially, he’s saying, (and I paraphrase) if I do my job, I won’t have to worry about being re-elected for another 4 year term because I’ll earn your vote over my first 4 year term . . . .

This guy has the courage and conviction to be a great president. I pray we grant him the opportunity . . . .

I always her using Obama’s words. Why isn’t that plagiarism? I think she has stolen just about every slogan he has had, about a week after he says something she uses it. I was always a hillary fan, although I have to be honest I was leaning towards Obama. But i really don’t like when she attacks, she seems evil whe she does. I was a Hillary Clinton Supporter until today! I love hillary and she is a woman that shows the utmost resilance of a woman (Bill). But I have been to a few events of hers and Baracks and I always liked him but Ive been a life long supporter of Hillary but for her to say that he used some one elses words is CRAZY! I have noticed for a months that she has used things that barack has supported from the start!

Including his Fired Up, Ready To Go Frase! I looked it up it was put into the lime light from an older woman in south carolina and she wanted barack to use it!

Also to add insult to injury My girl Hillary has all of a suddenly decided to support The bill that Helps Support American Workers…. I did some real research about this topic and She actully supported NAFTA (ships american jobs over seas). Barack calls it the politics of now! She supports this bill because she has to really plead her case to people like me (DOWN SCALE BLUE COLLAR VOTERS!)
I finally realize that sen. Obama has changed america Already! My daughter is so engaged and wants him to win so bad! The so-called friends of america are just business partners. Experience got this country nowhere. Today politicians have a stigma hanging over their heads as being a corrupt official. Bush is an oil tycoon. Hillary and Bill are trying to play it off that they are happy together and that everything is ok. That is a bunch of bs, they both want back in the white house. It must be nice there. Obama has a good strong family backbone with good strong family morals and values. Him and his wife both attended Harvard Law School. THey are African Americans and thats harder than it seems in this country. The simple fact that Obama has come this far in this country is proof enough that America is changing. All of these people that are for Hillary say she has more experience. She was married to the pres. Thats all. Besides that Obama and Clinton have the same status. Their positions on issues are pretty much the same. Have you ever been to DHS to receive welfare, that will be what it is like for Clintons health care plan. You will stand in a long line to get a check up from a doctor that is underpaid and doesn’t want to help you because you aren’t paying for your service the gov’t is. The gov’t never expels good service, just the bare minimum. I want everyone to have healthcare too, but not at the expense of the quality of the care. Hillary started making negative attacks first. Obama is just redirecting them. He is not attacking her. She started that when she started losing. She is a sore loser and needs to worry about her campaign and not Obamas. Him using those words was all but necessary. That is his friend and sometimes wise words fall out of our mouth at certain times especially of our friends that we love and communicate with frequently. She was attacking him and he was emphasizing the audacity of her claims. The proposed plagiarizee supported him 100%. She needs to quit trying to find something to ruin him. She is only ruining her reputation. She can’t beat McCain and she knows it. That will be like watching a circus if she is the nominee. They will get so low they will forget what they are campaigning for. Obama hasn’t forgotten yet and he won’t, he believes too much. They don’t believe 100% in their hearts and it shows in their campaigns. Thats the only way to describe what is going on across America. If hillary is the nominee we will surely have a republican white house again and the people of this country will be even more politically exhausted with the way our country is being lead. I find it interesting that many others feel as strongly as I about Hillary getting the nomination. If she does, I just couldn’t vote for her. First she dropped a fake tear or two after being cited for her cold, steely persona. Hubby Bill followed up with the race card in South Carolina. Then she dropped her Latino Campaign Manager and now has an African American by her side. We won’t dwell on her negative campaign smears. Finally, I, too, question her “35 years experience”. In the beginning, I could have gone either way … for Barack or Hillary. But now I feel that she has no integrity in her quest to win. I sure hope the super delegates are paying attention to the fact that not only will the Republicans turn out in droves to vote against Clinton, her nomination will turn also away many Democrats and Independents.

She has taken more money from lobbyist and special interest groups than any other candidate on eather side, and for some mysterious reason will not release her tax returns until after the nomination? Obama on the other hand blew Nevada in his stradegy and admitted it then voed he would correct the problem and did so. He has outfunded her without taking money from lobbyist and in fact if you go to donate to him you have to check off an oath that you are not only not a lobbyist or special interest group but also not affiliated with one. His money comes directly from the people. His message has stayed consistant from the start. He uses a message that involves the people in his vision instead of saying “HE WILL FIX ALL PROBLEMS”… like HRC can do it all without the american people behind her. He has gone to every state and given them a piece of himself. His one weakness is that he sometimes becomes too focused on speeches and forgets to add substance, but if you actually look into his policies he is very detailed and brilliant in his thinking. He needs to blow every one away in this next debate and just talk policy without trying to keep it simple enough for everyone to understand. Let everyone just drop their jaws because he can be so in depth, which he can. His problem when he does so and the reason he avoids it is his large vocabulary. He tends to go over peoples heads because of how he words his thought process. It is quite a conundrum. If he doesn’t speak about policies people become afraid it is because he doesn’t understand them. If he does talk about policy, he sometimes uses language the people themselves don’t understand. I would love if he just overcame this problem and tried to put his policies as simple as possible but we all know this can be hard to do if you aren’t scripted. We will see what happens.

Barack Obama is a wild card. We have no idea what he stands for; he is 100% politician, and 0% leader. How can we vote for a man who ony tells us what we want to hear. We have no idea what he would actully do as president.

I have never heard agood defense of Obama. People who say that they like him usually haven’t exained the race very closly, or else have, but ignore the obvious faults because they are blinded by their emotions.

Obama has not said bad things about Clinton.
Hillary: Accepted her Husbands infidility and supported him during his sex episodes.
Obama: Voted against the Iraq War and keep up the attacks on Bush when even the press was afraid of the Bush Administration and toed the line.
Clinton:Voted for the war and only apologised at the debates and not before.

Obama is not experienced enough to run our country. In eight years I will be the first to vote for him if he shows that he can put his words into results. I am African American and offended by much of what has been written on this board. He does not deserve to be attacked like this and neither does she. They are both excellent candidates and people should vote for them in Nov. irregardless to who gets the nomination. We need a unified party and to get out of this damn war.

Obama has 11 years of experience as a legislator and has a very strong intellect. He has detailed policies as well, he just doesn’t rely on him when he speaks because it’s easier to draw a contrast with your opponent (whose policies are the same 95% of the time) in areas where you are vastly stronger than her. You’d see him stress policy ideas much more against McCain, you can be sure of that. But let’s not forget that the American president is not an autocrat, and the presidency is partly a bully pulpit. Leading the nation is more than being a bureaucrat and policy wonk. And he has the policy chops, to boot.

I can’t believe the racists comments. As an Black American, when I first registered to vote, I registered as a Republican. I voted for Bush 41. I believed Spiro Agnew was a decent man and innocent of the charges. However, after spending 6 years in the army, living in different parts of America, I believe Senator Obama is the only candidate who appeals to millions of Americans regardless of their race, income level, or sex. Any college student knows that to use another persons work is liable to get you kick-out of school.

As far as the phrases Hillary supposedly copied, they were common phrases used for decades, if not centuries. He shouldn’t act as if he had a copyright on a 3-5 word phrase.

Wow. I sure hope that the posters here do not represent the majority of Americans. I am embarrassed by comments from all sides (Obama, Clinton, and McCain).

I will be voting for Hillary Clinton tomorrow. This is why:

1. She wants to get rid of NCLB. Obama only wants to reform it. Standardized testing is leaving all children behind and Obama does not realize this.

2. Clinton has a more comprehensive and inclusive health care plan. Even John Edwards has said that it is superior to Obama’s.

3. I feel that Hillary Clinton’s plan to reform the way veterans receive care physically and mentally is superior to Obama’s.

4. Hillary Clinton blows away Obama and McCain when it comes to economics.

5. Clinton’s foreign policy is superior to Obama’s.

And for those people who think that the Clinton campaign is putting out “Negative advertisements”, you must have missed the last few elections. The ads are bubble gum in comparison…and btw, Obama hasn’t really been 100% positive with his ads either. It’s a game called politics, kids. 😉

I sure am looking forward to having Hillary Rodham Clinton as the Democratic nominee.

Why you ask?

Well, because we get to be reminded of all of Bill’s infidelities, and maybe we get to see a few more sexual harrassment victims paraded out.

We get to see the Monica Lewinsky embrace over and over again. And we get to experience the oldies but goodies of Linda Tripp and Ken Star, Whitewater and Travelgate, Jennifer Flowers and Paula Jones, Vince Foster and the infamous blue dress. And who can forget those riveting impeachment hearings.

We’ll get to hear more about questionable fundraising– maybe the Clintons will sell sleep over nights in the White House again.

I know I’m missing a whole bunch of fun and intriguing facts, but don’t worry, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Glen Beck, Fox News, and all our “friends” on the right will be there to remind us over and over again.

But seriously, I don’t know why the Clintons are a beloved figures in the Democratic Party. They are responsible for the backlash that gave us Bush in 2000. The Clintons did so much damage with with their personal behavior that it is primarily their fault there were less Democrats in elected office in 2000 than in 1992. They didn’t grow the party, they sucked the life out of it.

My question is– why does anyone think it is going be any different?

Bill and Hillary Clinton’s behavior is unconscionable. The Clinton’s don’t have the country’s best interest in mind; they don’t care what is best for the Democratic Party; they care about what is best for the Clintons.

They are Karl Rove in Democratic clothing. Look at their recent behavior.
They are masters of manipulation, skilled in the arts of distortion, deception, and the politics of personal destruction. And if you call them on it then you are ganging up on them.

People, listen up! This is only going to get worse. They use to hold the title of the most divisive forces in American politics. I would put them second behind Bush for now, but stay tuned; they will reclaim the title if they continue on their current trajectory.

Why do you think all the Republicans had been focused on her? Because they want her to be the nominee. Half of the country will not vote for her! And after the Clinton’s unconscionable, shameless behavior, can you blame them?!

If you want the country to stay in Iraq for 100 years and continue the disastrous policies of the Bush Administration, then make the Clintons the Democratic nominee because the Republican will win in November.

Oh, and as an added “bonus”, if you want to give the Republicans a chance to take back the House and Senate, make the Clintons the nominee. Making the Clintons the nominee will be the best thing for the Republican Party.

Folks, it doesn’t have to be that way.

Vote for someone who can build a broad coalition to solve some of our nations most pressing problems. Vote for someone who has demonstrated the right kind of experience and judgement. Someone who is intelligent, who inspires, who builds up as opposed to tears down.

I think comments that categorize young voters as ‘mindless’ and ‘ignorant’ are completely unnecessary. Saying that Obama will only win because we’re dumb enough to rally behind him because we don’t know any better? That’s ignorant. Sure, some young voters don’t research the issues enough and end up voting based on arbitrary reasons. Can’t that happen at any age though? In the end, my vote is worth just as much as yours. Stop insulting other voters for superficial reasons and start worrying about how you can support your candidate.

I believe that Obama’a actions and bahaviors as a state Senator and US Senator and in this election demonstrate that he has the least qualification to lead this country amog all the cadidates counting both parties. I would like to believe that Obama or Clinton might be the candidate(s) for change; however, Washington is the party of money. The two Democratic candidates bring new decor to an old political landscape. Their influence has generated an emotional response; the reaction is noteworthy, but when the 2008 presidential election is over, what will really change for the upper middle class, the middle class, the poor, and the working poor? Like American Idol, we are more likely to feel some sort of satisfaction knowing someone we were emotionally tied to achieved significant merit, whether that merit is becoming the next big pop singer or the forthcoming president of the United States. People commonly attach their feelings to images and symbols that reflect their ambitions and goals – we want to associate with newness, change, possibility, hope; we want to see our dreams manifest in this time and place is some fashion or another. So the interest in Obama and Clinton is understandable. The Republicans have a big battle on their hands! But when everything is said and done, will America still be on the same course? Will we have new clothing on the same old body? Obama doesn’t have the amount of experience Clinton does; however, in the current political climate, experience is often related to being tied to the elite insiders who have financially influenced the direction of our democracy at the cost of the average citizen. I am surprised at the trivial attacks on Obama by Clinton, the most recent, using quotes from others, is rediculous. Obama has navigated a clean campaign; he has not brought up any number of damaging topics relating to Clinton: her failure to address health care during Bill’s eight years in office; her failure to signigicantly improve education, her cattle futures trading problem, and her recent “files” that she refuses to share with the media or public. Currently, Obama is running a cleaner campaign; he is a better candidate for change because he dosen’t have the more deeply entrenched networks with the “good old boys” like Clinton does – like others have said, this makes him more Kennedy-esque. Examine one issue – health care, universal or not. Any significant changes in the current health care system, or even a move to a universal health care system, will be trouble. Modifications to the current health system will not occur without the consent of the insurance companies; therefore, if the insurance companies support health care change, or some version of universal health care, count on this, the new framework will not be good for the American consumer. I’m not sure if this is an example of what AL was referring to, but Democrat, or Republican, Washington is the party of money!

HILLARY’S “EXPERIENCE”… Flunked her law exam twice… worked her ENTIRE CAREER in Arkansas as a CORPORATE LAWYER, defending big corporations like Tyson and WalMart against lawsuits. She also sat on several corporate boards and got paid well for doing so. And the law firm she worked for, the Rose Law firm, represented some of the companies where Hillary was a board member. Very few law firms will have this sort of “duel” relationship, where an employee of theirs is a board member on a client’s board of directors. This is considered to be a major conflict of interest, but this never bothered Hillary much. As long as there is money involved for her, a mere conflict of interest is nothing to her.

Her experience after Arkansas? We all know it: First Lady…. “Chief Scandel Control Officer”… and Health Care Reform FAILURE.

Then the last 6 years as NY Senator… which, by the way, is 5 years LESS EXPERIENCE than Barack Obama has in ELECTED PUBLIC OFFICE. He served as State Senator of Illinois for 8 years, and has been U.S. Sentor for the last 3 years.

On the subject of experience, I believe Hilary is missing the point, George Bush can say he has experience, one question: who would vote for him nowadays if he could run for office? Hey but he has almost 8 years of on the job experience. All living in Washington does, is teaching you how to become vindictive and cynical. So in other words, Obama needs more seasoning because he is not cynical enough.
The best time for Obama to be president is now, while he is in a transition period, 8 years from now he will be just another old cynical politician like Mc Cain who apparently thinks there should be an american presence in every section of the globe.
On healthcare, I am worried about it because talking to some canadian colleague it seems like it might take 3 months before you can get an opening to see a dentist over there. What will happen when companies stop offering coverage, apparently if they do not cover you, you will have to take it out of your own pocket: wouldn’ t it encourage them to stop offering insurance?
Lobbyists; Wasn’ t there a scandal about a chinese lobbyist when Bill was roaming in the white House? Where was Hilary then? fast forward-
Where did the 5 millions really come from, if you have nothing to hide, show me the withdrawal slip. Simple.
Where did CNN pull that latest poll from? a few weeks ago Clinton was leading by 10 in Texas and the 2 candidates are neck and neck. Give me a break. Mark my words soon Hilary will become the underdog in Texas. CNN is just making it interesting. Period.

Been following world events since Nixon.as a kid.I remember Nam,Saw the soldiers spit on when they came HOME, to young to serve old enough to see what was going on in the world and my neighborhood.Yet it was Richard Nixon who ended the war!!But people worry about watergate on the Dem side.The same thing has gone on for decades,it’s called Knitpicking!! that’s what the Clinton’s are doing to Obama!!Doesn’t mean he won’t be a great president!! I am always surprised at the incredible lack of grammar, intelligence and common sense that the most negative respondents use. (I am sure that Hillary is thrilled beyond comprehension that she has received resounding endorsement from people that can’t put together two complete and grammatically correct sentences).
The things that seperate Obama and Clinton are very small– and lets face it– things will change drastically once a pres has to work with a congress that also has their own ideas and agenda.
Ultimately this race comes down to personalities and likes. One perosn is capable of oratory skills not seen in politics in a long long time. The other comes with a business attitude–
One comes with a desire to unite the country and the reach across parties– the other feels like her experience will make things happen by her sheer strength alone.
Both are talking Universal themes and both have used other people’s words– although one side uses their opponets words cause even tho they are just words they are better than hers.
Change isn’t coming it’s here. Look at the way we are all involved and motivated and we haven’t even reached a nominee yet. I hate to say it, but its do to 2 things (and Hillary isn’t one of them)-
1) NO MORE BUSH!! NO REPUBS!!
2) Obama– who– say what you will– has energized a lethargic non interested–easily beat up upon Democratic Party.
If thats not the ultimate sign of Leadership skills and one thats needed now—
well truly only the educated are forging ahead with OBAMA!!

America needs a change from the Bush clan and the Clinton clan. Obama is offering America a chance to change our government for the better. I think he would work for the American people and not for himself. I firmly believe he will work to make America a better place for all of our citizens. He may make some mistakes but I’ll bet he will stand up and admit them and then try to correct them. I’m participating in early voting and will cast my vote in the morning. Obama has my vote for sure. Oh, by the way, Hillary does not have all of the over age 50 women voters. I’m past 60, live in Texas, and Obama has mine!VOTE OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT!

Senator Obama is an honest intelligent man. As my senator I have sat in the same room with him for several hours. You can tell. I trust him to make decisions.

The more I hear from Sen Clinton the less I like her.

I see bumper stickers on cars in the midwest that say “Anyone but Hillary”. If she is the Democratic candidate, the democrats will lose the fall election. The vast majority of Americans do NOT want her for president. IT is not because she is a woman. I think we have moved past that. It is because she will do anything to win. Her experience??? Having your husband make out with an aide in the oval office? That is experience?? I will be voting for Sen Obama.

I am amazed at the racist in Wisconsin. I am not one that everything is about race–but reading this blog I am glad I do not live there. Allow me to say one thing. I am a former Clinton supporter and would like to say–negative campaigning does not for our party or our country. The reason I chose to swith from the clintons because they have demonstrated time an again that they will do absolutely anything to win. I realize we have to strong candidates but my fear is at the end of this campaign and blogs like this–we will hand this country over to the republicans. If that happens we are all doomed. You see poverty does not have a race or color. Poverty is not racist, home foreclosures are not just impacting blacks and latinos, it is impacting everyone regardless of race, gender or religious beliefs. 47 million Americans lack healthcare–any improvements to a failing system will help but you all are too stupid to realize that–because you are so full of hate for one another and other countries hate all of us. So, whether you feel you cannot support Obama because of his middle name just adds to the demographics the pollsters are describing (e.g. uneducated, make less than $50,000 per year, etc.). If you any of you had any level of intelligence you would not make such racist and insensitive comments. But I will leave you all with this–to each man there comes a time or a day when you will be forced to answer for your hatred to your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray for Senator Obama and his family because I do not know why he would risk his life, reputation and everything he and his family have worked hard to achieve to represent and fight for you selfish, unworthy,unhappy individuals. I am a woman who was a former Hillary supporter. After much research into both candidates, I have come to the conclustion that Obama is the best person to be the next president. This country needs someone who is new and fresh. I am tired of seeing the same old names and faces in Washington. Obama has outlined in detail what he intends to do and it doesn’t differ all that much from Clinton. However, in this job, vision and words do mean a lot. Obama has a way that allows him to communicate with others extremely well. In the job of president, communication is a #1 priority. I feel he will have the best chance at actually getting things done in our divided Washington. He has my vote!

It amazes me Clinton supporters complain that 1)Obama supporters are only the educated elites, not “real” people and 2)they are mindless drones only voting on their emotions. Somehow these seem contradictory. As a low income, recently insured, Asian female I support Obama because I agree with his policies and stances more than hers and because I want to live in his America, not hers. Thoughts are important, convictions are important, past behavior is important, actions are important. This is why I am voting for Obama.

It’s the increased uncontrolled spending that will increase your taxes in the future. The pennies you save in taxes now from the Bush tax cuts will be taken later by whatever president happens to be in office, because simply one must pay their bills and keep their debt under control.

Big Business is about making money and seriously it makes more sense to hire 5 indians or russians, for what you pay one american to do.

American loves cheap goods, which means cheap labor from china because no american is going to work for pennies a day and no health care.

Taxes isn’t running big business off. It’s our love of cheap made goods and their love of increasing profits.

If you want to encourage business to move to America and hire American workers, then go out, spend a little more, and buy the American made goods.

Remember Big Business will supply what the American consumer wants.

If you just stated that i will not vote for this person or that person because their ideas are not exactly what i need, then fine. When you were examining Obama’s senatorial record, what accomplishments were you exactly looking for? A Senator’s job is to make laws with 99 other Senators. It’s a collective effort, not an individual undertaking. If the measure of a good presidential candidate were the number of bills he has authored, then we should have all voted for Sen. Joe Biden, who has authored most major criminal law initiatives for the last 25 years.

I wish people had scrutinized GW Bush like their now doing to Obama. Money and lives would have been saved. As to Hillary vs. Obama, look at how each has managed their campaigns. They show you how they would run their administrations. Hillary, like GW Bush, hired an ineffective but loyal staff. They blew a 20 point national lead. Obama has put together an innovative effective team that has embarassed the “Clinton machine”. Obama is the choice of those who repudiate the Bush/Clinton ways.

This contest is going to decided by voters over national security & taxes.
John McCain believes it is better to bomb those that disagree with him.
Barack Obama believes it is better to make an attempt to talk some sense first.
John McCain is a flip flopper that opposed president Bush’s tax cuts because they were not offset by spending cuts. He said this was reckless and now he supports this plan and has issued his own “no new tax” pledge.
It would appear as though the choice on taxes boils down to a “tax & spend” democrat or a “borrow & spend” republican.
Borrow & spend sounds like a spoiled child saying; ” Don’t worry, my parents will pay for it”.
A 9 trillion defect that was less than 4 trillion in 2001 is a national crime.
We spend 25 billion dollars each month on our national credit card because McCain and the whole republican party lied to us when they said they were the party of fiscal conservatism and responsible spending.
Pay as you go is the best course to restrengthen our currency and restore investor confidence in America again.
